I received it and the box was so small I didnt think it could possibly be what I was hoping it was. But yes! It was my oil pot. And Im glad I bought the large size because its going to be just barely adequate for what I want to use it for. Frying small chicken pieces, catfish fillers, corn dogs, tater tots, and deep fried okra. The construction of this pot and its parts is excellent, made of 304 stainless steel, which is what high-end cutlery is made from. Amazon sells a great many varieties of these pots in various sizes and quality. Many of them get low reviews and are returned, but I believe the main reason may be for ordering the small size and being disappointed because its not usable for anything except straining oil. As I havent yet used mine, I have plans for getting a lot of use out of it, because Ive got a freezer full of frozen food. I hate frying in a skillet, spattering grease everywhere, and having to strain the oil afterwards and clean up the skillet and the stove. Hopefully, this pot will make things simpler and easier. I am a retired, elderly widower gent who cooks for myself, and cooked for my wife a lot. I can highly recommend this oil pot to those who want to deep fry in small batches and keep it clean and simple. I plan on buying a gallon of peanut oil to start, and with careful use, it should last me for quite some time. Whether you buy here, or from Amazon, choose carefully, and make sure of what you are getting. This particular brand is a good one.
Love this one so much. Ive been looking for something like this for an event and when I came across this website I had to just see what I would get with little expectation but I love it.
