Ever since the COVID-19 started to spread globally, lightinthebox has been actively liaising with suppliers and factories to secure stocks including masks, goggles and other personal protection and health monitoring devices.

Since last week, lightinthebox has been initiating activities to help people in need globally. Besides sending a million of free masks to people living in US and European countries announced on 29 march, 2020, the company also worked with Kerry Logistics Network Limited to deliver 200 thousands free masks to families in Malaysia.

Kerry Logistics Network Limited is a leading logistics service provider with extensive operations across the ASEAN countries. Mr He Jian, CEO of lightinthebox commented that, in order to deliver 200 thousands free masks to 40 thousands families in Malaysia within a week, we need a strong last mile delivery partner. Kerry Logistics has a long working relation with Lightinthebox’s subsidiary ezbuy since 2014. After knowing this plan to help Malaysian families, Kerry Logistics has given great support, operationally and financially, to make sure we can send free masks to 40 thousands families in Malaysia in the shortest time.

As the situation worsened faster than expected, many people still do not have basic protections and not even knowing the way to get them, lightinthebox decided to send a million free masks to people living in US and European countries.

CEO Mr. He said, in order to make sure masks can be delivered to people in need timely, we decided to slot in a few free mask packs in our customers’ parcels and send to them via DHL or FedEx. Each mask packs have a sticker on it, which says “Please share to people who may need them. Stay safe and protect yourself.” Parcels with free mask packs will reach one hundred thousands of customers directly in 4-5 days. Till today, we have send out to thousands of customers in US and Europe and they can receive within this week.

Mr. He has also shared that this is the fastest way to ensure masks can reach those in need. Through one hundred thousands of our customers, these mask packs can be distributed to approximately two hundred thousands of families in US and Europe. Everyone in the company is working around the clock to ensure smoother operation flows for personal protection supplies.
